Ca-Mg-Zn isotope compositions of Quaternary mafic volcanic rocks from the Costa Rica arc to back-arc transect
Abstract:
This dataset presents bulk rock calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg) and zinc (Zn) isotope compositions determined by MC-ICP-MS of Quaternary mafic volcanic rocks sampled along a transect from the volcanic front to the back-arc region of Costa Rica (Central America). The sample suite comprises basaltic andesites, basalts, and basanites previously characterized for bulk rock major and trace element geochemistry. This dataset supports a companion manuscript examining Ca-Mg-Zn isotope systematics in subduction zones.
