Abstract:
This dataset reports major, minor and trace element compositions of volcanic glass shards from tephra deposits collected at Mount Melbourne, Antarctica. Major elements were analysed by EPMA and trace elements by LA-ICP-MS. The dataset supports tephra fingerprinting, tephrostratigraphic correlation, and the reconstruction of Mount Melbourne’s explosive volcanic history.
