Abstract:
This dataset contains electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) data for K-feldspar megacrysts and associated plagioclase, biotite, and amphibole from the Early Miocene Çataldağ Plutonic Complex in northwestern Türkiye. The dataset comprises quantitative spot analyses and core-to-rim traverses of K-feldspar megacrysts together with spot analyses of chadacryst and groundmass minerals collected from representative granodiorite, quartz monzonite, granite, and mafic microgranular enclave lithologies. Analyses were performed at the Earth Sciences Application and Research Centre (YEBIM), Ankara University, using a JEOL JXA-8230 electron probe microanalyzer equipped with five wavelength-dispersive spectrometers. Analytical conditions included a 20 kV accelerating voltage, a 20 nA beam current, and a focused electron beam. Sample locations are provided in WGS84 UTM Zone 35N coordinates together with complete analytical metadata, calibration standards, detection limits, and quality-control information. This dataset provides mineral-scale compositional constraints for investigating crystal growth, inclusion assemblages, and the evolution of K-feldspar megacrysts in granitoid magmatic systems.
