Compilation data of elemental compositions of Chinese Late Paleozoic coals
Abstract:
The dataset of elemental compositions of Late Paleozoic coals in China was compiled from previously published peer-reviewed literature (see supplemental data and references). For the Carboniferous–Permian coal-bearing strata of the North China Block, a total of 768 coal samples and 251 geochemical datasets of adjacent roof rocks, floor rocks, and interlayer partings were collected. For the Late Permian coal-bearing strata of the South China Block, 404 coal samples and 523 associated datasets of roof rocks, floor rocks, partings, and black mudstones were obtained.
