Field-based descriptions of troctolite, gabbro, and mixed mafic breccia, structural data (e.g. dip and strike data) of igneous layering, folding, and other deformation features, and two high-resolution outcrop maps from the Rum Central Intrusion, NW Scotland
Abstract:
Additional field-based descriptions of troctolite, gabbro, and mixed mafic breccia collected as part of 1:5000 geological mapping. Structural data (dip and strike and non-planar linear data) of igneous layering, folding, and other deformation features (e.g. schlieren). Two high-resolution geological outcrop maps (approximately 1:50). All data collected from the Rum Central Intrusion, NW Scotland. The purpose of the dataset is to record detailed geological and structural information relevant to deformation observed within a layered mafic intrusion.
