Abstract:
Afar Stratoid Series basalts and Gombe Series basalts were analyzed for their radiogenic isotopic composition. Elemental separations were conducted at Michigan State University using ion exchange chromatography methods. Purified elemental fractions were then sent to New Mexico State University where they were analyzed for their radiogenic isotopic ratios using TIMS and MC-ICPMS techniques.
