Abstract:
This dataset provides soil CO2 flux measurements from the town of Covasna, a natural CO2 degassing area in the Eastern Carpathians, Romania. The measurements were carried out with the accumulation chamber method across the inhabited area of the town. The data were used to characterize diffuse soil degassing, distinguish its sources, identify the structures that control gas emissions and assess the associated potential hazard for the local population, as presented in the related article.
