Abstract:
This is a summary of chemical analyses of fumarole gases collected from Bezymianny volcano (Russia) from 1956 and 1965, in addition to chemical analyses of fumarole gases collected from Mt. Katmai, Kodiak Island Alaska in 1917 (Lovering, 1957). Analyses from 1917 and 1965 represent an average of fumarole samples from the respective volcano and year. Bezymianny samples from 1956 were collected by Dubika and Menyailov, 1965 samples were collected by Borisov in 1966. All Bezymianny samples were analyzed by I. A. Menyailov of the USSR Science Academy.
