Abstract:
Geochemical composition of eight visible tephra layers from the Roosevelt Island Climate Evolution (RICE) project ice core are reported. Measured concentrations of 13 major oxides were captured on two differently configured electron probe microanalyzers (EPMA). Three of the eight layers are correlated and dated.
